 After four weeks in high school, today I returned to the other end of the education spectrum; kindy! It was delightful to spend the day and provided quite a stark contrast to working with teenage students. Though there's aspects of both which I enjoy, I realised today that I evoke a deeper sense of purpose working with primary level children and this reinforced my motivation at this point of time, to work with students at this level.
Today, I was supporting the prac teacher responsible for teaching the class. It was interesting to observe this teacher, noting strengths - in line with evidence based teaching practices - and areas which might be better served in an alternative way. Here are the observation notes which I took and provided to this teacher.
